EVOLVE app · Last updated 21 October 2026
The short version. EVOLVE keeps your training, food and body data on your phone. There is no EVOLVE account database. Data only leaves your phone when you use a feature that needs it, such as asking the AI coach, searching for a food or connecting Strava, and we list every one of those below. We do not sell your data, show adverts or use tracking cookies.

Who we are

The EVOLVE app is provided by Team Evolve Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 15919810), registered office 124 to 128 City Road, London, EC1V 2NX. Under UK data protection law (the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018) we are the controller of the personal data described here. Questions or requests: bryn@teamevolve.cc.

What stays on your phone

Everything you enter or the app works out is stored in your phone's own storage for the app, and nowhere else: your profile (name, email, age, sex, height, weight, goals), training history and plans, morning check-ins, food diary, gym workouts, body readings (such as body fat, heart rate and blood pressure), notes, coach conversations and the sign-in keys for any service you connect. Delete it any time in Settings, Reset, or by deleting the app.

Health data such as heart rate variability, resting heart rate, sleep, weight and body composition is special category data under the UK GDPR. It stays on your phone unless you ask the AI coach a question, which is when we rely on your explicit consent. You can use the rest of EVOLVE without ever sending it.

What we do not do

International transfers

Netlify, Anthropic, USDA and jsDelivr are based in the United States, Open Food Facts in France and Open-Meteo in Switzerland. Where data goes outside the UK we rely on UK adequacy regulations or on appropriate safeguards such as the UK Extension to the EU to US Data Privacy Framework or the UK International Data Transfer Agreement.

How long we keep it

Data on your phone stays until you delete it. Sign-up and feedback form entries are kept while you use EVOLVE or we are in touch, and deleted within 24 months of your last contact, sooner if you ask. Our host keeps routine connection logs for a short period for security.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct, delete or move your data, object to or restrict how we use it, and withdraw consent at any time (for marketing in Settings, for the AI coach by not using it). Email bryn@teamevolve.cc and we will reply within one month. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk, though we would like the chance to put things right first.

Children

EVOLVE is for people aged 16 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from younger children.

Changes

If we change how EVOLVE uses data we will update this page and its date, and tell you in the app before any change that needs your consent.
